DEA Take-Back Days
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) sponsors National Prescription Drug Take Back Day twice a year, in April and October.

Next event: The next national event is Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time.

What is accepted: The DEA accepts pills, tablets, and patches. You can bring liquids, but they must be in their tightly sealed original containers. Some locations may also accept vape pens and e-cigarettes, provided the batteries are removed.
What is not accepted: Needles, syringes, and illegal substances are not collected.
